 Punjab Charities Commission to Train 6,000 NGOs

The Punjab Charities Commission has announced plans to provide comprehensive training to over 6,000 NGOs and welfare organizations registered in the province. The objective is to educate them about modern charity laws, including regulations related to anti-money laundering and terrorist financing.

Scheduled to commence on May 8, the training will kick off in the Lahore division. Participants from NGOs, trusts, and welfare institutions registered with various government bodies such as the Security Exchange Commission of Pakistan, Punjab Charities Commission, Industries Department, Punjab Board of Revenue, and Social Welfare Department will undergo training sessions.

The first phase of the training program will focus on 120 NGOs from the Lahore division and will be conducted over a single day. The aim is to equip these organizations with the knowledge and understanding necessary to comply with legal requirements and operate effectively within the framework of modern charity laws.
