Pakistan Railways Initiates Solar Strategy for Cost Savings and Sustainability

Pakistan Railways is embarking on a comprehensive solar strategy to transition its power network, including major stations and offices, to solar systems. This initiative is projected to result in significant cost savings for the department, with an estimated initial saving of Rs. 1.8 billion.

To facilitate this transition, Pakistan Railways intends to engage National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK) in the conversion process.

The adoption of solar energy represents a strategic effort by Pakistan Railways to mitigate financial pressures amidst ongoing economic challenges.
