Shaheen Afridi’s Participation in First Two T20s Against New Zealand Uncertain

Sources indicate that Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi’s participation in the first two T20 matches against New Zealand is uncertain. It is understood that Shaheen is currently managing his workload and may opt to sit out the initial two T20s as he prepares for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management is actively involved in workload management for players and is making selections with this consideration in mind.

Pakistan is set to host New Zealand for a series of five T20Is, commencing in Rawalpindi on April 18 (Thursday). This series serves as preparation for the T20 World Cup scheduled for June in the United States and the West Indies. The series will conclude on April 27.
