 Pakistan Announces Haj Flight Operation Commencing May 9

On Monday, a senior official from the Ministry of Religious Affairs announced that the Haj flight operation, aimed at airlifting 68,800 intending Pakistani pilgrims under the government’s regular scheme, will commence on May 9.

Federal Secretary for Religious Affairs, Syed Attaur Rehman, disclosed during a news briefing that out of the total, 34,300 intending pilgrims will directly land in Madina, while 34,500 will arrive in Jeddah to proceed further to Makkah.

The pre-Haj flight operation is slated to conclude on June 9.

In a notable development, it was highlighted that for the first time, all Pakistani pilgrims will be provided with train station tickets for travel during the Mashair days from Mina to Arafat, Muzdalifa, and Jamarat.

Rehman further elaborated that 63% of the pilgrims will be accommodated in Old Mina, while the remaining 37% will be situated in New Mina. Notably, all pilgrims from Pakistan will be strategically positioned along the critical routes in Mina near train stations and on the main routes from Muzdalifa to Jamarat.
