JUI-F Urged to Postpone Quetta Public Gathering Amid Security Threats

Amid a ‘threat alert’ issued by law enforcement agencies, the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) has been strongly advised to postpone its scheduled public gathering in Quetta tomorrow.

The JUI-F, led by Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, plans to hold a significant political event in Quetta on April 20. However, according to an official handout, law enforcement agencies have warned of potential threats from unidentified terrorists targeting the gathering.

The Deputy Commissioner stated in the handout that the JUI-F provincial chief, Maulana Abdul Wasay, has been informed about the security alert.

Given the recent surge in terrorist activities, including the tragic Pishin blast on February 7 and the killing of a Levies personnel in a terrorist attack last month, the district government emphasized the seriousness of the situation.
