US citizen of Pak origin loses $8,000 on KHI-Doha flight

At least $8,000 were stolen from the handbag of a US citizen of Pakistani origin who was travelling to Houston city of Texas from Karachi on a flight of foreign airline, reported Private news channel on Wednesday.

It is reported that Imtiaz Rafique found his $8,000 missing during a stopover at Doha, Qatar. According to him, he took off the bag from his shoulder for searching at two places only.

He said upon reaching Doha from Karachi, he found his $8,000 missing while checking the bag.

“The dollars probably stolen during a flight from Karachi to Doha.

The passenger advised to lodge a complaint with police.

An aircraft of Qatar Airways flying from Delhi to Doha made an emergency landing at Karachi’s  Jinnah International Airport (JIAP) on Monday. After a fire alarm triggered, Private News reported.

Qatar airlines flight number QR579 travelling from Delhi to Doha was at an altitude of 40,000 feet. When fire alarm triggered, Civil Aviation Authority sources told the TV channel. They said smog also filled in the cabin of the aircraft. (read more)
