PESHAWAR: Both students and faculty members are relieved that the University of Peshawar has formally announced the start of the winter break.
The Peshawar University administration has officially announced that the academic institution will closed for the winter holidays from December 23 to December 30.
This announcement covers more ground than just the university campus. Colleges and schools affiliated with Jamia Peshawar will also closed during winter break.
The winter break at Peshawar University, which runs from December 23 to December 30, provides students attending these institutions with a break from their studies.
In the meantime, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Education Department recently issued a directive directing government schools in the area to observe winter break.
The notice states that the plains schools will closed from December 23 to December 31.
Furthermore, schools in the winter zone will closed from December 23 to February 29 for an extended period of time.
Additionally, schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) chilly mountainous regions will have a two and a half month winter break.
The mountainous areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan experience exceptionally harsh winters, with lows below freezing between December and February.
The purpose of this decision is to protect students’ health and safety over the winter.
