South Waziristan IBO: Two soldiers martyred laid to rest

RAWALPINDI: South Waziristan IBO Operation, Funeral prayers of Lance Naik Shoaib Ali Shaheed (age 25, resident of Parachinar, District Kurram) and Sepoy Rafi Ullah Shaheed (age 22, resident of Lakki Marwat), who embraced shahadat during an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in Zarmilan, South Waziristan District, initially offered in Wana and later at their respective native towns.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), both Shaheed were laid to rest with full military honours. A large number of military officers, soldiers including civil officials, public & relatives of Shaheeds attended the funeral prayers.

Armed Forces of Pakistan stand determined to eliminate the scourge of terrorism at any cost. Such sacrifices only strengthen our resolve, the ISPR added.

Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has expressed grief and sorrow over the death of three Pakistanis in a residential building fire in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

In a tweet on Monday, PM Shehbaz Sharif extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families over the tragedy.

He directed Pakistan’s Mission in the UAE to extend support to the affected families. A fire in a residential building in Dubai killed 16 people including three Pakistani nationals in Dubai. (read more)
