 Sindh govt to issue a new schedule regarding matric, inter exams

Karachi, June 3: Sindh govt to issue a new schedule regarding matric, inter exams in Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) with Shafqat Mahmood in the chair.

In a statement, Sindh Education Minister endorsed the decisions but at the same time, the minister announced that Sindh govt would issue its own schedule about taken exams.

“Sindh education ministry will issue a new schedule regarding exams of classes from IX to XII classes in upcoming days,” the provincial minister announced.

Earlier, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani had said that exams of matriculation and intermediate in the province would be held in July and the decision regarding exams of the classes up to eight would be made within the next few days.

Speaking at a press conference, Saeed Ghani said the Sindh had already decided to take exams from IX to XII classes across the province.

“There’s no way the Punjab government will cancel exams this year,” Punjab Educational Minister Murad Raas said on Tuesday.

Murad Raas further said that “Instead of wasting time on protests, students should start preparing for their exams because Punjab Govt will not cancel exams.”

He also added that”Bring as many celebrities as you want, the decision will not change.”

Punjab Educational Minister said that all provincial ministers will meet this week to take important decisions regarding exams and the reopening of schools.

Minister gave the opinion that “Personally, I think exams should be taken as per schedule but with limited subjects.”

Assessments of important and elective subjects should be taken, the provincial minister suggested. The final decision will, however, be taken in the meeting.

The Punjab Educational Minister pointed out that students have already suffered huge educational losses since the outbreak of the Covid 19 and couldn’t afford to do so anymore.
