Palace Debunks Kate Middleton Coma Conspiracy Theory

Following her planned abdominal surgery last month, Princess of Wales Kate Middleton sparked health-related conspiracy theories. As the future queen recovers at Adelaide Cottage from surgery, Palace has kept royal fans updated on her health.

The major coma conspiracy theory began to circulate on social media after a Spanish journalist claimed that the future queen’s life “was in great danger” and that doctors had to save her.

According to the Times of London and the Daily Beast, Spanish journalist Concha Calleja claimed on the TV program that the Princess of Wales’ life was in “great danger” and that she was placed in an induced coma.

Now, as Prince William pulls out of a memorial service for his godfather. King Constantine of Greece, at the last minute, citing “personal” reasons, royal fans are concerned about Kate Middleton’s health. And the coma theory has resurfaced.

Amid these concerns, Kensington Palace issued a statement saying “Princess of Wales, who is recovering from abdominal surgery, continues to be doing well.”

Meanwhile, Kate’s team told Newsweek that the coma claims were “ludicrous and not fact-checked by Kensington Palace.”

Earlier, a palace insider dismissed coma claims as “total nonsense,” and “fundamentally, totally made-up.”
