THE EDUCATION ACTIVIST and Nobel Prize winner Malala Yousafzai has made a donation of $0.3 million to organizations supporting the Palestinian people amid the continuing conflict.
Yousafzai passionately denounced the latest terrible bombing carried out by Israel on Al-Ahli hospital in Gaza in a video posted on her X. She utilized her platform to promote peace, stressing that the problem cannot be solved by using collective punishment.
I’m horrified to see the bombing of al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza and unequivocally condemn it. I urge the Israeli government to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza and reiterate the call for a ceasefire. I am directing $300K to three charities helping Palestinian people under attack. pic.twitter.com/JiIPfnTUvY— Malala Yousafzai (@Malala) October 17, 2023
“I’m here to contribute my voice to the cries for peace coming from Palestine, Israel, and other parts of the world. Punishing everyone at once is not the solution. The majority of Gaza’s population is under the age of 18; they shouldn’t have to endure bombing and an unfair occupation for the rest of their life, Yousafzai said.
She asked people all around the world to donate to organizations providing crucial humanitarian help and urged the Israeli government to allow the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
She also published a list of charitable organizations in the meantime.
Furthermore, Malala Yousafzai stressed the collective responsibility to convey expectations to leaders for an immediate ceasefire and the pursuit of enduring peace.
