Heat Wave in Pakistan: An Analysis

A severe Heat Wave with temperature is as high as 49 °C struck southern Pakistan. It begins the deaths toll of about 2,000 people from dehydration and heat wave, mostly in Sindh province and its capital city, Karachi. It was also observed that the lives of zoo animals and numerous agricultural livestock also got affected. Moreover, this city experienced an unusual heat wave at the tail end of the summer season in October last year. A drastic increase in mercury levels turns Karachi into what experts call an ‘urban heat island’ with devastating consequences.

Due to climate change and global warming. It is predicted that Heatstroke will become increasingly more common in future (up to 10 times more likely over the next 40 years). It shall cost more human lives and shall become one of the significant features of global warming. In this study researcher shall explore the situation of Heat Wave in the region Sindh and how it impacts multiple people. Including animals and in the end, it will also come up with precautionary measures in order to one’s life.

Summer has arrived in Pakistan in full swing. Like in the past met office it has been predicted that Heat Wave in the province of Sind and Baluchistan would have increased. Regular Heat Wave in province Karachi has become a prodigy only in recent years with the first lethal Heatstroke hit Karachi in June.

Heat Wave is an extreme weather condition and the most fatal phenomenon that is categorized by a prolong. Period of excessively hot weather with or without high humidity. Heat Wave cannot be defined with a single definition as it changes accordingly to the usual weather conditions in the region. And is relative to the normal temperatures for the season. To examine Heatstroke, the temperatures of a certain area should be more than. The recorded average temperature of a given area.

Heat Wave is created due to trapping of air near ground levels. High-pressure systems force air downward which prevents air from rising from the grounds. The sinking air acts like a cap and traps warm ground air in place. Without rising air, there shall be no rain, and nothing to prevent the hot air from getting hotter. Heatstroke form when high pressure becomes stronger and rest over a region for many days up to several weeks. The high pressure area is on the equator side of the out flux, in the middle layers of the atmosphere. High-pressure systems can create a ‘cap’ that traps air in one place as it warms. This can lead to a heat wave.

People can get protected in Heat Wave and from heat stokes by staying indoors. However, if required one should go out while wearing damp clothes or loose clothes which will help lower the body’s temperature. In addition to that sticking one’s hands in cold water. Placing fans next to windows as this will draw air from outside, which should be cooler, wearing. Having a tepid shower rather than a cold one and cooling the face rather than other parts of the body can be some measures to safeguard against Heat Wave.

To conclude, in this article researcher has identifies the impact of Heat Wave over human beings as well as the animals and how we can overcome that. All was about Heatstroke in Sindh (Karachi) in addition to that there are number of things. That people can do to get protected in heatwave and from heat stokes which in detail mentioned above. While following that, the entire one can make him protected and feel safe.
