General Asim Munir to host an iftar for the Pakistan cricket team

General Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), will be hosting an iftar event for the Pakistan cricket team in Rawalpindi on April 7.

Currently, the team, known as the Men in Green, is engaged in a fitness camp at Kakul.

This camp, held at the Army School of Physical Training (ASPT), started on March 26 with an initial end date of April 8 but will now finish a day earlier than planned.

On April 7, the players will travel from Abbottabad to Rawalpindi for the iftar gathering before returning home to prepare for Eid-ul-Fitr.

Following Eid, they will reconvene in Rawalpindi for a five-match T20I series against New Zealand.
