Four Marriage Halls Sealed for violating single-dish, marriage act

FAISALABAD: The district administration in Faisalabad has sealed four more marriage halls and imposed steep fines as part of a recent crackdown against violations of the one-dish and marriage act.

Assistant commissioners and other administrative officers led a district-wide campaign to expose violations of the one-dish marriage act.

They found infractions at 197 locations after conducting a thorough inspection of many marriage halls and marquees.

In the course of this operation, 22 people were arrested, and the offenders were fined a total of Rs15 million.

Moreover, 64 marriage halls were sealed, and cases were registered against 52 accused, highlighting the government’s commitment to enforcing regulations.

Responding to queries, the official spokesperson disclosed that. Within the last 12 hours, administrative officers scrutinised 96 marriage halls in the district, identifying violations at four sites.

Consequently, the premises of these four marriage halls sealed, and a total fine of Rs400,000 was levied on the accused.

Cases have been registered for further legal action, reaffirming the administration’s dedication to upholding the integrity of the marriage act.
