 Five Arrested for Mutilating Camel in Sanghar

A local court in Sanghar, Sindh, has remanded five individuals into police custody for chopping off a camel leg.

Confessions Obtained

According to SSP Sanghar, two of the five suspects, Abdul Shakoor Shar and Abid Shar, have confessed to their crime during the investigation.

Camel Receiving Treatment

The injured camel has been shifted to Karachi for medical treatment.

Landlord’s Brutal Act

A landlord in Sanghar district allegedly chopped off the camel’s leg as punishment for entering his field to graze.

Incident Details

The incident occurred in Mund Jamrao village, Sanghar district, on Friday. Soomer Khan, the camel’s owner, narrated the incident at the Sanghar press club, stating he had no enmity with anyone and was unaware of the motive behind the brutal act.

Police Action

SSP Sanghar took notice of the incident after a video of the camel with a chopped leg went viral on social media. Police officials reported that the peasant refused to identify the culprit or press charges, leading the police to lodge an FIR on behalf of the state against unknown persons under sections 429 and 34 PPC.
