Coronavirus cases in Pakistan going up gain slowly

The number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan has been going up again slowly but surely as the country recorded another 85 infections and no death during the last 24 hours (Friday). Reported National Institute of Health Pakistan on Saturday morning.

As per the latest National Institute of Health Pakistan (NIH) data, the death toll remained unchanged at 30,376.

Whereas the number of total infections now stood at 1,529,165 after adding the fresh 85 cases.

During the last 24 hours (Friday), 16,291 tests conducted throughout coronavirus cases in Pakistan. Whereas the positivity ratio stood at 0.52 percent. The number of patients in critical care recorded at 119.

The positivity rate of coronavirus illness, COVID-19 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) has been registering a continuous increase for the last three weeks setting off alarm bells because the situation hints toward another spike in the number of cases.

The situation may get more alarming because the majority of people in the region have already stopped following standard operating procedures to avoid COVID-19 and one can hardly witness individuals wearing masks in markets or in other public places including offices. (read more)
