RAWALPINDI: COAS and US Centcom chiefs collaborate on security matters the US Central Command Commander General Michael Erik Kurilla had extensive discussions with Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir during a visit to the US Central Command headquarters.

Tuesday morning, General Asim Munir, NI (M), paid a visit to General Michael Erik Kurilla at Centcom Headquarters in Tampa Bay, Florida, as per a statement released by the military’s media wing, ISPR.

Both generals discussed topics of mutual interest during the meeting, especially working together on regional security issues.

The parties reaffirmed the necessity of improving training exchanges between the Pakistan Army and Centcom and talked about potential areas for cooperative training.

During the visit, the COAS also went to the Centcom Joint Operations Center.

RAWALPINDI: After meeting senior United States officials in Washington, Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir called on the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to discuss issues about Kashmir and Gaza, said the military’s media wing Saturday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief is in the US on his official maiden visit during which he held meetings with Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and other high-ranking defense officials in Washington.

Gen Asim’s meeting with Antonio Guterres took place at the UN headquarters in New York, the statement read. During his interaction, the COAS particularly highlighted the ongoing Kashmir and Gaza issues. read more….
