Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi declared accused in the FIA challan in the cipher case.
According to Naji TV, the FIA challan in the cipher case mentions the criminal actions of Chairman PTI Imran Khan and the resulting damage to foreign relations. And it has said that the accused put the country’s security at stake with the illegal custody of the cipher.
The FIA challan also contains the role of former Prime Minister’s Secretary General Azam Khan and his statement. A list of thirty witnesses is given along with the challan.
It has stated in the challan that by illegally keeping the cipher, the accused put the country’s security at stake. The actions of the accused served the interests of foreign forces and harmed Pakistan.
According to the challan, the code required to returned to the Foreign Office for destruction under the rules. The former prime minister and foreign minister are accused under Section 5 and 9 of the Official Secrets Act.
