Three dead, 21 injured in blast at Lahore Johar Town
ISLAMABAD(LAHORE), 23 June: At least twenty one people have been injured and three killed in a blast in Lahore’s Johar Town.
According to rescue officials the blast took place in E block near Ahsan Mumtaz Hospital.
A spokesperson for Rescue 1122 said that it was not immediately clear what caused the blast. “So far we have not been able to determine whether a gas pipeline burst or whether it was a cylinder. But we have shifted four people [to the hospital] and more injured are expected,” he said.
He reiterated that it was not yet clear what caused the blast. “Right now we don’t have any confirmed reports,” he said.
Meanwhile, Lahore Deputy Commissioner Mudassir Riaz Malik directed the relevant assistant commissioner to reach the site of the incident as well as officials from Sui gas and the Lahore Electric Supply Company.
He also directed emergency wards at all hospitals to be on alert.

As indicated by the police, on the second floor of the school’s structure old and corroded furniture was put away. In a class, the rooftop came fall down alongside the furnishings.
The students were promptly moved to the Jinnah Hospital where two have been indicating out of danger. The body has, then again, been given over to the heirs.
